The Age of Aquarius Part II: Let the Sunshine in.

Astrologers believe that an astrological age can affect humanity by influencing the rise and fall of civilizations. For our mid-year collections, under the banner of their collection Age of Aquarius, we explored this concept against the framework of their own natural landscapes around us.

Instead of looking to the stars for influencers on our cultural tendencies, they looked to nature.

As the world wakes to the dawning of a new age, we move beyond the familiar, and into the wild.

Let The Sunshine In explores our love affair with adventure and wilderness, but not in the way we imagine an adventure wardrobe - a collection bursting with colour, odes to the beauty of the world that surrounds us.

This collection takes a walk back into our creative beginnings and love of vintage drama and hand crafted garments, this textural collection draws down into the sentimental true roots of our brand… and an answer to many of your crochet prayers over the years!

On Spelly’s mood board for this collection were all of her favourite movie and music muses - each of which a woman on an adventure: Jenny Curran from Forrest Gump, the final scenes of Hair, Joni Mitchell and Janis Joplin.

In line with our ongoing commitment to using fabrications and production techniques that create less impact, 79% of our printed styles are achieved using digital printing. Digital printing uses less water, less energy, less ink and has less risk of chemical run off to the environment.

As the world moves through a phase from dark to light, this collection was concepted in a time of the unknown - the sketches, the mood and the final product was thinking perhaps our community would be craving a burst of colour, optimism and a little love note of eras gone by. Here is that love note, to you our dear community!
